There is no other way to say it, but the humans of Sumatra are “bad-asses”. This is an expression that means they are great, smart, tough, unique, awesome, sensible, hardworking, knowledgable, eager and happy. Every single guy and gal we have come across portrays these characteristics. We are fortunate to collaborate with such an amazing group of humans. …and talking about bad-asses, welcome Lis Darjo to the team! (far right, next to Ruddy and Joe from Batu Katak).
Step by step we can make a difference. Without nature there is no us. We count with a group of local collaborators that “work their heart out” to protect nature and improve their communities, the ultimate goal. Now we can roam into the province of Aceh led by his experience and knowledge in search for human-tiger conflict solutions. Thank you to all that are part of the great effort to save wild Sumatra!
